4th Infantry Division Helmet Liner “Bob”
This liner was found in Quettehou, France, an area located located between Utah Beach and Cherbourg. It has a ivy leaf logo on the front, and I suppose a name, or nickname of the GI at the back. The painter also added Texas to the front, which was apparantly common among Ivy me. For example, PFC Albert Gans painted a bunch of liners on May 26th 1944 in England (Torquay) with similar markings.
